Iconic Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Corporate Finance Assistant Manager to be based with their Glasgow based Accountancy practice client in their successful Corporate Advisory team. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who are already in Corporate Finance who wish to take the next step or for candidates who would like to move into Corporate Finance perhaps from an Audit or Senior Accountancy role.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and review of business plans, pitch decks and financial projections
- Signposting to funding options
- Pursuing funding for clients, including meeting funders, completing applications, addressing queries and agreeing on terms
- Involvement in transactions (buy and sell side) including managing transaction process and identifying potential acquirers on a sales transaction
- Financial due diligence on early stage ventures and acquisition targets
- Managing due diligence on sales assignments
- Valuations of both pre revenue and trading businesses
- Writing information memorandum documents for potential sales
- Business Development through networking and industry events. The person joining this team will support the senior management team with firm wide business development, allowing the opportunity to build personal networks with key business influencers
- Budgeting and monitoring of work in progress

The Individual:
The role of Corporate Finance Executive requires a CA/ACCA who is self motivated and commercially minded to work closely with the management team in supporting a variety of clients with interesting corporate finance and analysis work.
The successful candidate will ideally have some experience or exposure in a corporate advisory team, will have experience in report writing, organising and holding meetings and will have high levels of attention to detail.
Key candidate requirements include:
Education and Experience
- Qualified CA/ACCA
- Post qualification work experience within an accountancy practice
- Relevant experience or exposure to Corporate Finance
Skills
- High level of attention to detail and ability to self review
- Commercial awareness
- Business development and networking skills would be advantageous
- High proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge and understanding of report writing
